RICHMOND, Va. (October 7, 2025) – Elon redshirt junior Katie Blount and Stony Brook junior Henry Gartner received CAA cross country weekly awards following excellent performances at the Paul Short Run in Pennsylvania.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Katie Blount, Elon
RS-Junior | Atlanta, Ga.
Blount shattered the Elon 6K program record by more than 25 seconds against a strong field at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., crossing the line in 19:37.1. The performance allowed the junior to finish second among more than 350 Division I runners. Blount was less than three seconds behind the race winner and helped Elon post a 10
th place team finish.

Henry Gartner, Stony Brook

Gartner finished 69
th in a field of more than 350 Division I runners at the competitive Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. The junior set a new personal record in the event, completing the 8K course in a time of 24:14.3. Stony Brook placed 15
th as a team in the event.
