CAA Volleyball Weekly Awards – Oct. 6, 2025

RICHMOND, Va.  Hofstra’s Beatriz Braga and Towson’s Sydney Stewart captured Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, while the Pride’s Nina Jioshvili-Ravva and Charleston’s Jumana Martin split Rookie of the Week recognition on Monday.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Beatriz Braga, Hofstra
Junior | Outside Hitter | Uberlândia, Brazil
Braga had an outstanding week in leading the Pride to a pair of wins over Elon. Braga totaled a team-best 30 kills, while also adding 14 digs, six blocks, three service aces and two assists. Noonan also hit at a .436 clip in the two matches. On Saturday, she tallied a match-high 18 kills and added eight digs in the three-set sweep. The Uberlândia, Brazil native hit .394 in the match and added three blocks and a service ace. Braga once again garnered match-high honors with 12 kills, and this time she did it on just 22 swings with only one hitting error for a .500 attack percentage. She added six digs, three blocks, and a pair of service aces in the victory.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sydney Stewart, Towson
Senior | Libero | Elizabethtown, Pa.
Stewart paced the league last week with 6.83 digs per set as the senior libero helped Towson to a pair of straight-set victories over UNCW. The Elizabethtown, Pa., native opened the weekend slate with 18 digs to go with four assists and a service ace. She proved to be vital again on the backline as Stewart dug out 23 balls in the Tigers' three-set win on Saturday.
 
CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jumana Martin, Charleston
Freshman | Defensive Specialist | Fort Mill, S.C.
Martin was the backbone of the Charleston defense that went on the road and took two matches from Campbell. Martin averaged 4.63 digs per set and produced 10 total assists. On Friday, the defensive specialist had six assists and 17 digs along with 35 of the team’s 69 receptions as CofC secured a four-set victory over the Camels. The Fort Mill, S.C., product followed that performance up with her seventh outing with 20-plus digs, posting 20 in Saturday’s win.
 
CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva, Hofstra
Freshman | Setter | La Roquette-sur-Siagne, France
Jioshvili-Ravva led the way in helping the Pride to a pair of CAA victories over Elon. The freshman setter totaled 44 assists, five digs and three blocks in the sweep. The French product proceeded to log 26 assists, seven service aces, six digs, four blocks and a pair of kills in Sunday's three-set victory. The seven service aces were the most for a Hofstra player since Constanza Perez Sain had eight against Navy on August 31, 2024. Jioshvili-Ravva guided Hofstra’s offense to a .330 attack percentage in the two matches, while averaging 11.67 assists, 1.83 digs, 1.17 service aces, 1.17 blocks and 0.50 kills per set.
