CAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
D.J. Smith, Campbell
Graduate Student | Guard | Little Rock, Ark.
Smith turned in a pair of 20-point games, including a career-high, across the first three games of the season. He started the year with 23 points on the road at No. 24/24 Wisconsin, keeping Campbell in striking distance for the first 33 minutes of the contest. The six-foot guard hauled in eight rebounds at West Virginia to go with 11 points against the Big 12 opponent. Smith dazzled in his first home game, scoring a career-high 29 against Western Michigan. The Little Rock, Ark., native connected on six 3-pointers and knocked down nine free throws as well. His 11 treys lead the CAA through week one, and his 21.0 points per game pace all league players with more than one game played.
