Villanova's Mace Named FCS National Offensive Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, Va. (November 10, 2025) – Villanova sophomore running back
Ja’briel Mace was chosen as the Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week following a record-setting performance at Towson last Saturday.
Mace eclipsed the legendary Brian Westbrook’s school record for rushing yards in a game with 291 and scored all four Villanova touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 28-10 win at Towson. He entered the game with 359 rushing yards in 26 career contests but carried the ball 28 times and scored from 8, 39, 82 and 22 yards out. His rushing total and all-purpose yards (315, adding in a 24-yard kickoff return) were the second most in an FCS game this season.
