Monmouth's Weaver Chosen As FCS National Freshman Player Of The Week

Lafayette, Butts, Reno, Corr, Weaver Earn FCS Football Awards (Week 12) | Opta Analyst

RICHMOND, Va. (November 17, 2025) – Monmouth redshirt freshman quarterback Frankie Weaver was chosen as the Stats Perform FCS National Freshman Player of the Week following an outstanding performance at North Carolina A&T last Saturday.

Weaver tied the program record with six touchdown passes and passed for a career-high 428 yards as Monmouth rolled to a 63-19 win at North Carolina A&T. He completed 19 of 27 attempts, which included three TDs over 50 yards and an average of 22.5 yards per completion. His 276.9 pass efficiency rating was the second highest in CAA Football and the eighth best in the FCS this season.  

Stats Perform also recognized Rhode Island running back Antwain Littleton (Offensive), Villanova linebacker Shane Hartzell (Defensive), North Carolina A&T kicker Andrew Brown (Special Teams) and Campbell punt returner Trayjen Llanas-Wilcox (Special Teams) as honorable mention National Player of the Week selections.
