RICHMOND, Va. (November 18, 2025) – Stony Brook sophomore Francesca Baber earned CAA women’s swimming weekly honors and sophomore teammate Natalia Chornomidza received women’s diver weekly accolades.
CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week
Francesca Baber, So., Stony Brook (Beford, UK)
Baber recorded three individual victories and was part of a winning relay team as Stony Brook dominated Siena, 223-76, last Saturday. The sophomore placed first in the 100 free (52.38), 200 free (1:53.81) and 500 free (5:11.49). She was also a member of the Seawolves’ 400 free relay that set a pool record with a time of 3:28.37.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Natalia Chornomidza, So., Stony Brook (Lindenhurst, N.Y.)
Chornomidza finished in the top two on both boards in Stony Brook’s victory over Siena. The sophomore claimed first place in the 3-meter competition with a score of 285.38 and took second on the 1-meter board with a score of 252.53.
