KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 12, 2025) –Hofstra's Laurie Goddard has been named a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
The CAA Player and Midfielder of the Year is the first CAA player to receive the honor since 2022, when former Hofstra midfielder Eliot Goldthorp also found his name on the second team. In addition, Goddard is one of five finalists for Top Drawer Soccer’s Player of the Year.
The Englishman had his best season yet in a white and blue jersey, charting career highs in goals (15), assists (7), and points (37). Nationally, the senior ranks first in the nation with eight of his 15 goals being game winners, while sitting seventh in points per game at 1.85. His point tally is the sixth highest across Division I athletes.
Goddard came in clutch as Hofstra advanced to the third round of the NCAA Championship. After scoring the game winners against Syracuse and Vermont, he went on to net two in a 3-3 tie with Furman before the Paladins advanced on spot kicks.
