CAA Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards – Dec. 22, 2025

RICHMOND, Va. (Dec. 22, 2025) – William & Mary guard Monet Dance, Towson guard India Johnston,  and Campbell guard Jasmine Nivar are the CAA women’s basketball weekly award winners for the week ending on December 21. 
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Monet Dance, William & Mary 
Junior | Guard | Roswell, Ga. / Mount Pisgah Christian School
Dance averaged 17.0 ppg and 7.0 apg in the Tribe’s two wins at the Stetson Holiday Hoops Classic. In an 81-75 comeback win over the hosts, the junior guard poured in 18 of her 20 points in the second half to earn her team the victory. A little over 24 hours later, Dance dished out 10 assists alongside 14 points in the Tribe’s 64-52 win over Bethune-Cookman.
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
India Johnston, Towson
Senior | Guard | Bear, Del. / Caravel Academy
Johnston put up stellar numbers for the Tigers, averaging 21.5 points in a 2-0 stretch. Kicking off her week with an 87-86 overtime win over UMES, the senior went 5-for-9 from behind the arc to post a season-high 26 points from the bench. Johnston also pitched in with three rebounds and three assists. The Bear, Del., resident went on to pour in 17 points, going 6-9 from the field in the 75-67 victory over Lehigh.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jasmine Nivar, Campbell
Freshman | Guard | Apex, N.C. / Apex Friendship HS
Nivar collected her third Rookie of the Week honor, averaging 16.0 points over two games. The Apex, N.C. native poured in 20 points in the Camels’ 68-63 win over Norfolk State with 15 coming in the fourth quarter. Nivar added 12 points in Campbell’s loss to East Carolina.
