Phil Steele Honors 19 CAA Football Players As FCS All-Americans, 16 As Freshman All-Americans

RICHMOND, Va. (December 30, 2025) – CAA Football was well-represented on the 2025
Phil Steele FCS All-America and Freshman All-America teams that were released on Monday. The conference had 19 players earn All-America recognition and 16 players selected to the Freshman All-America squad.
Receiving first-team All-America accolades were Monmouth junior wide receiver
Josh Derry, Rhode Island senior linebacker
A.J. Pena, William & Mary senior defensive back
Jalen Jones, New Hampshire sophomore kicker
Nick Reed, Elon senior punter
Jeff Yurk and Villanova sophomore kick returner
Ja’briel Mace.
Making the All-America second team were Monmouth sophomore running back
Rodney Nelson, Rhode Island junior wide receiver
Marquis Buchanan, Villanova graduate offensive lineman
Temi Ajirotutu, Monmouth graduate offensive lineman
JT Cornelius, William & Mary graduate linebacker
Luke Banbury, Monmouth sophomore defensive back
Jaeden Jones and Mace, who was honored again as an all-purpose player.
Selected to the third team were Villanova senior offensive lineman
Stephane Voltaire, UAlbany junior defensive lineman
Balansama Kamara, Rhode Island senior defensive back
Ayinde Johnson, North Carolina A&T junior punt returner
Elijah Kennedy and Hampon senior long snapper
Jonathan Ward.
On the fourth team were Elon sophomore defensive lineman
Kahmari Brown and Villanova senior linebacker
Shane Hartzell.
The Freshman All-America first team included Monmouth defensive end
Lamont Lester, Jr., William & Mary defensive lineman
Justin Krueger and Villanova punt returner
Braden Reed.
Second-team honors went to Rhode Island offensive lineman
Damon McMillian, New Hampshire defensive lineman
D.J. Johnson, New Hampshire linebacker
Trevor Barry, Villanova defensive back
