Goddard Named A Player Of The Year Finalist By Top Drawer Soccer

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University senior midfielder Laurie Goddard has been named a finalist for the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Year it was announced today. Goddard is one of five players up for the award, joining Junior Diouf (Grand Canyon), Diego Hernandez (Furman), Daniel Lugo (High Point), and Zach Zengue (Georgetown). 

The 2025 CAA Player and Midfielder of the Year, Goddard had a remarkable season with 15 goals, 7 assists, and 37 points. All three totals were career-highs and he led the CAA in scoring. He currently ranks sixth in the nation in goals and points, and leads the nation in game-winning goals with 8.

During the Pride's run to the third round of the NCAA Championship, Goddard scored four goals and added two assists. He scored the game-winning goals at Syracuse and at No. 1 Vermont (golden goal), and then added two more tallies in a 3-3 tie at Furman before the Paladins advanced on penalty kicks. 

The London, England native finished his two year Hofstra career with 24 goals, 12 assists, and 60 points. He leaves the Pride ranked 12th all-time with 24 career goals, while his 15 goals in 2025 are tied for sixth on the single season list and his 37 points are sixth as well.
