Molly Rullo are the CAA women’s basketball weekly award winners for the week ending on December 7.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jana Sallman, William & Mary
Junior | Center | Cairo, Egypt / Western Reserve Academy
Sallman stuffed the stat sheet in the Tribe’s 2-0 week, including a huge win over ACC foe Wake Forest. In a 67-64 victory over the Demon Deacons, the center poured in 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor. Four days later, the Tribe hit the floor again with Sallman posting a near double-double. The Egyptian product had a season-high 20 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists as William & Mary earned a 73-60 win over American.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Molly Rullo, Drexel
Freshman | Guard | Drexel Hill, Pa. / Cardinal O’Hara
Rullo helped Drexel go 2-0, averaging 16.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. After an 11-point performance in the team’s 55-48 victory over American, the Cardinal O’Hara alumna dropped a personal-best 22 points to lift the Dragons to a 59-52 win against Temple in the Big 5 Classic. Scoring on an 89.0% clip from the field, Rullo also pitched in with four rebounds and five assists in the result.
