RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 3, 2025) – The CAA has announced its first men’s lacrosse weekly awards for the start of the season. Hofstra junior attacker Anthony Mollica garnered Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Hofstra freshman attacker Drew Bogardus was named Rookie of the Week
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Mollica finished Saturday’s matchup against Iona with career-highs in goals, assists, and points to lead the Pride to a 20-2 win in the season opener. Finishing the game with four goals and two assists for six points, the junior attacker opened Hofstra’s scoring account for the season after the Gaels took the lead early in the first quarter. Mollica was most prolific in the third, netting two unassisted goals in five minutes, and tacking on an assist moments after.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Drew Bogardus, Hofstra

Bogardus marked his collegiate debut with a three-goal and one assist performance in the win against Iona. Providing a helper on the Pride’s opening score, the Virginia native found the scoresheet three minutes later to extend Hofstra’s lead to 3-1. Bogardus wasn’t done there, scoring two of the Pride’s final three goals of the contest early in the fourth quarter.
