Jasmine Felton are the CAA women’s basketball weekly award winners for the week ending February 2.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ali Zelaya, UNCW
Graduate Student | Forward | Goodyear, Ariz. / Millennium
Zelaya averaged a 24.0 point and 13.5 rebound double-double in UNCW’s 2-0 weekend. In a 70-67 overtime win over Hofstra, the Arizona native led the Seahawks with 22 points and 13 boards, including knocking down two clutch free throws to help send the game to overtime. Defeating Stony Brook 65-57, Zelaya posted a career-high 29 points with nine falling in the third quarter alone, alongside 14 rebounds. The graduate student forward has recorded four consecutive double-doubles, and has seven on the season.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Freshman | Guard | Elizabeth City, N.C. / Northeastern HS
Felton and the Camels went 2-0 with the freshman guard averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists on an impressive .631 shooting clip from the field. Kicking off the weekend against Monmouth, Campbell was victorious 76-67 with Felton scoring a career-high 18-points including going 3 for 3 from deep to lead a comeback in the fourth quarter. The North Carolina native finished her weekend with 12 points and four boards in a 92-71 win over William & Mary.
