CAA To Be Well Represented At 2025 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track And Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. (June, 10, 2025) – Seven individuals alongside two relay teams will represent their programs and the CAA on the national stage at the 2025 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships commencing on Wednesday afternoonat historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
The first two days of the championship consist of the semifinals, starting with the hammer throw at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday and hitting the track at 4:05 p.m. for the 4x100 relay, which will see one CAA program compete. The top nine competitors in each event will move on to Friday and Saturday for a chance at hardware.
Having just one qualifier last season, the CAA will be represented by three women in Oregon, including two from North Carolina A&T with Spirit Morgan qualifying in the high jump and Olivia Dowd earning a spot in the triple jump. Monmouth’s Yasmeen Tinsley will also make the cross-country trip having finished within the top 12 in the 400m hurdles.
For the Aggies, Dowd became the first female high jumper from the program to qualify for nationals since 2021 after setting a personal record (13.22m / 43’ 4.5”) for the fifth-best qualifying time in the East region. Her teammate, Morgan, jumped (1.82m / 5’ 11.5”) for the fifth-best qualifying mark in the region.
Sending six individuals including four women to the East Region qualifiers, Tinsley stood out for the Hawks by improving upon her school record in the 400m hurdles with a 56.97 finish to become the lone Monmouth athlete to travel to Eugene.
Four men alongside two relay teams booked a ticket to Oregon with their performances in the East region with all but one coming from A&T. The Aggies qualified in the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay and will send Xavier Partee (triple jump), Isaiah Taylor (110m hurdles and 400m hurdles) and Xzaviah Taylor (400m hurdles) to the Beaver State. Northeastern’s Ethan Exhilhomme is the lone Husky making the trek to Oregon to compete in the 110m hurdles.
Exhilomme came out flying, dominating his two heats of competition in his signature event. After finishing second in the first round with a 13.85 time, the senior improved his time with a school record and personal best 13.45 pace to rank first in his heat and earn an automatic spot in the semifinals. Exhilhome will appear on the national stage for the first time since 2023. He finished 17th overall in his last attempt in the 110m hurdles, running a 13.69.
The Aggies head to the Championships for the 11th-straight season, with Isaiah Taylor being the lone returner from last year’s competition. The Taylor brothers will be very busy, with Xzaviah competing in the 4x400, 4x100, and 400m hurdles while Isaiah will go as the Aggies’ representative in the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and 4x100 relay team. Both set personal records at the East Region qualifers with Isaiah posting his in the 400m hurdles (50.25) while Xzaviah broke his in the same event running a 49.18. Entering just his second season in the sport, Partee qualified in the triple jump, coming in eighth with a 15.97m / 52’ 4.75” leap.
