Erin Goodman Joins CAA Staff As Senior Associate Commissioner For Compliance, Governance & Sport Administration

RICHMOND, Va. (July 16, 2025) – CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio has announced the hiring of
Erin Goodman as the conference’s new Senior Associate Commissioner for Compliance, Governance and Sport Administration.
Goodman will serve as the primary contact for all compliance and governance matters within the CAA. She will also work with the conference’s sports administration team, running championships in various sports and conducting coaches’ meetings.
For the past year, Goodman has served as the Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director at Old Dominion University. In that role, she worked with the senior leadership team providing direction, helping achieve department goals and prioritizing department strategies. Goodman was the liaison with the President’s office on athletic department initiatives and assisted with other department-wide operations.
Prior to ODU, Goodman spent three years at the Atlantic 10 Conference, where she was the Associate Director of Championships and Compliance before being promoted to Director of NCAA Compliance & Student Services. As the conference’s primary compliance contact, Goodman helped revamp compliance policies and procedures as part of the ever-changing federal and NCAA landscape. She organized monthly calls with the A-10 compliance departments and SAAC and facilitated and led meetings of the Faculty Athletic Representatives and Student-Athlete Welfare Committee.
Goodman served as the championship administrator and director for the A-10 Swimming & Diving Championship. Previously she worked as the sport administrator and championship administrator for field hockey and women’s lacrosse.
A graduate of Temple University and California University of Pennsylvania, Goodman began her career at Holy Family University, where she was an athletic trainer before being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
