RICHMOND, Va. (August 12, 2025) – Three men’s soccer players from the CAA were selected as NCAA Division I Players to Watch for their respective positions by United Soccer Coaches.
Charleston had two players chosen, with senior defender
Noah Gold and senior midfielder
Ezra White both finding their names on the list. Hofstra’s senior
Laurie Goddard represented the Pride amongst the nation's best midfielders.
Gold, a 2024 All-CAA Second Team selection, started and played in 16 games during his first season with the Cougars. The Maryland resident tallied five goals and one assist, including the game winner in a conference matchup against Campbell.
White played in all 18 games for Charleston en route to earning a spot on the All-CAA Second Team. The senior’s playmaking ability was on full display last season, leading the conference with 10 assists and putting him inside the nation’s top-10 for his tally.
Goddard, chosen as the 2024 CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player and an NCAA National Player of the Week selection, charted 23 points on nine goals and five assists. During Hofstra’s run to a fourth-consecutive CAA title, the Englishman scored both goals in a semifinal win over Elon to propel the Pride into the championship game.
