Luci Hollister earned CAA field hockey weekly award winners for the week ending on September 15
th.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pili Lemoine, Drexel
Forward/Midfield | Junior | Montevideo, Uruguay / Preuniersitario Juan XXIII
Lemoine totaled five points in Drexel’s 5-0 win over Rider, netting the first two goals of her season alongside an assist. The Uruguayan charted points in three quarters, opening the scoring in the second before tacking on a helper in the third. Lemoine capped the Dragons’ victory with her second strike of the game in the fourth. Lemoine’s five points this season are a team high.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anna Moors, Monmouth
Junior | Defender | Tilburg, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands / Odulphus Lyceum
Moors helped Monmouth extend its season-winning streak to five before falling to Yale. In a close 4-3 victory over Lehigh, the junior anchored a defense that fended off two penalty corners in the final six seconds, including one with no time on the clock. Moors found the back of the cage once on the week as well to bring her total to 14 points in six games.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Luci Hollister, Hofstra
Freshman | Goalie | Auckland, New Zealand / St. Cuthbert's College
Hollister was dominant in a 1-1 week for the Pride, tallying 18 saves with an .857 save percentage. Against Yale, the first-year shot stopper totaled a career-high 11 saves before blocking seven in a 2-1 overtime victory against Villanova. Hollister posted a 1.45 goals against average during her two games this week.
