CAA Football Maintains Four Teams In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (September 15, 2025) – Four CAA Football teams were again ranked in this week’s FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA, with three others receiving votes.

Rhode Island (3-0) led all CAA teams at No. 6 in the AFCA rankings and No. 7 in the Stats rankings after defeating Holy Cross, 9-7, last week. The Rams host LIU on Saturday.

Villanova (1-1) remained at No. 11 in the Stats poll and was No. 12 in the AFCA poll despite a 52-6 setback at Big Ten power Penn State. The Wildcats open CAA play at nationally ranked Monmouth on Saturday.

Monmouth (2-1) stayed at No. 18 in the AFCA poll and came in at No. 21 in the Stats poll after suffering a narrow 42-35 setback at FBS member Charlotte last Saturday. The Hawks welcome nationally ranked Villanova for their home and CAA opener this week.

New Hampshire (2-1) was ranked No. 23 in the AFCA poll and No. 25 in the Stats poll following a narrow 34-29 loss to FBS member Ball State last week. The Wildcats head to in-state rival Dartmouth on Saturday.

Bryant (2-1) and Elon (2-1) received votes in both polls. Stony Brook (1-2) got votes in the AFCA poll.
