Elon's Yurk Named FCS National Special Teams Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, Va. (September 15, 2025) – Elon senior punter
Jeff Yurk was named the FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week by Stats Perform for his performance in a 37-31 road win by the Phoenix at Western Carolina last Saturday.
Yurk set an Elon record by averaging 55.2 yards on six punts in the victory over the Catamounts. Five of the first-team All-American’s six punts went for 50+ yards, including a career-long 74-yarder. His average was the highest for an FCS player with at least five punts in a game since the spring 2021 season.
