RICHMOND, Va. (September 15, 2025) – North Carolina A&T has been honored as the HBCU FCS National Team of the Week by Stats Perform following its 33-30 double-overtime victory over Hampton last Saturday.

In the 50th all-time meeting between the two programs, the Aggies trailed the Pirates, 20-10, with less than a minute remaining in regulation. A&T forced overtime with a Noah Sanders’ 41-yard touchdown pass to Jamison Warren, a successful onside kick and Andrew Brown’s 37-yard field goal in the final minute of the fourth quarter. After Hampton went ahead 30-27 in the second OT, the Aggies’ Wesley Graves carried the ball on four straight plays, capped by his game-winner from 5 yards out. It marked Shawn Gibbs’ first win as A&T’s coach and the Aggies’ first in-conference in their third CAA Football season.

Stats Perform also recognized Hampton graduate linebacker Harold O’Neal III as an honorable mention selection for HBCU FCS National Player of the Week. O’Neal recorded 18 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss against A&T.
