RICHMOND, Va. (September 16, 2025) – William & Mary claimed both CAA cross country weekly awards with senior Perry Irons and junior Hayes Trapp honored after impressive races at the Virginia Invitational.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Perry Irons, William & Mary
Senior | Philadelphia, Pa.
Irons turned in her second consecutive strong performance, finishing second among 110 runners at the Virginia Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. The Tribe senior completed the 5K course in 16:50.4, trailing only Gillian Bushee of 20
th-ranked Virginia. Irons’ performance helped William & Mary place second in the 10-team field.
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Junior | Aiken, S.C.
Trapp led all William & Mary runners with a 14
th place finish in a field of 100 competitors at the Virginia Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. The junior covered the 8K course in a time of 25:09, finishing just a fraction ahead of teammate Collin Walsh. The Tribe placed fourth among nine squads, which included 6
th-ranked Virginia.
