CAA Football Places Three Teams In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (September 2, 2025) – Three CAA Football teams were ranked and four others received votes in this week’s FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA.

Rhode Island (1-0) moved up to No. 8 in the AFCA rankings and No. 9 in the Stats rankings after topping Campbell, 31-20, in its CAA opener. The Rams travel to Stony Brook on Saturday.

Villanova (0-0), which didn’t play in Week 1, remained at No. 13 in the Stats poll and edged up to No. 12 in the AFCA poll. The Wildcats open their slate on Saturday by hosting Colgate.

Monmouth (1-0) rose to No. 18 in the AFCA poll and No. 21 in the Stats poll after rallying past Colgate, 42-39. The Hawks are back on the road this week at Fordham.

New Hampshire (1-0) and Stony Brook (0-1) received votes in both polls, while UAlbany (0-1) and William & Mary (0-1) got votes in the AFCA poll.
 
Hampton (0-1) was ranked No. 9 in the HBCU FCS Coaches poll administered by BOXTOROW following its 28-14 setback at Jackon State. The Pirates face Elizabeth City State in their home opener.
