Four CAA Football Teams Ranked In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (September 8, 2025) – Four CAA Football teams were ranked and four others received votes in this week’s FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA.

Rhode Island (2-0) climbed three spots to No. 5 in the AFCA rankings and No. 6 in the Stats rankings following its 31-17 road victory over Stony Brook. The Rams visit Holy Cross on Saturday.

Villanova (1-0) moved up to No. 11 in both polls after its season-opening 24-17 triumph over Colgate. The Wildcats face a tough task this Saturday as they travel to Big Ten power Penn State.

Monmouth (2-0) remained at No. 18 in the AFCA poll and edged up to No. 20 in the Stats poll after earning its second straight road win at Fordham, 49-28. The Hawks are back on the road this week at FBS member Charlotte.

New Hampshire (2-0) moved into the rankings at No. 23 in the Stats poll and No. 24 in the AFCA poll following its last-second 19-16 victory over Holy Cross last week. The Wildcats head to FBS member Ball State on Saturday.

Bryant (1-1) received votes in both polls. Towson (2-0) and Stony Brook (0-2) got votes in the Stats poll and William & Mary (1-1) picked up votes in the AFCA poll.

Hampton (1-1) is ranked No. 10 in the HBCU FCS Coaches poll administered by BOXTOROW. The Pirates open CAA play at North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
