RICHMOND, Va. (January 9, 2026) – A double-overtime thriller headlined another exciting night of CAA Hoops. 
 
N.C. A&T 84 , Northeastern 83 (2OT)

It took double overtime, but N.C. A&T battled back from a 12-point first-half deficit to defeat Northeastern 84- 83. The Huskies dominated early, sprinting out to a 21-10 lead through the first 10 minutes. However, A&T started to heat up with two straight 20-point quarters. D’Mya Tucker had the hot hand, earning A&T its lead back in the third quarter with her 13 points, including going  3-for-3 from deep. Trailing 71-66 with 22 seconds on the clock, Northeastern’s Yirsy Queliz was clutch draining 3-pointers in the final 10 seconds to send it to overtime. With the score deadlocked at 81 through the first five minutes, but teams headed into the second frame with a point to prove. Northeastern stole the lead quickly through Justice Tramble with 4:35 on the clock. The Huskies were held scoreless for the remainder of the frame, meaning Paris Locke’s driving layup with 10 seconds on the clock proved the decider. Tucker finished as the Aggies' leader with 21 while Taylor Holohan paced the field with 22 for Northeastern.
 
Monmouth 52, UNCW 50

Monmouth came out on top in crunch time to defeat UNCW 52-50. The Hawks extended their win streak to eight off the back of their third-straight conference win. Knotted at 42 with 5:41 to go, Alexis Andrews knocked down a triple to put Monmouth up three. Both teams traded buckets, making it a one-point game until the final 10 seconds. After Andrews was fouled, she made it to the line and sank one to extend the advantage to two and close out the victory. Divine Dibula had another double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. UNCW’s Rori Cox led the field with 16 points.
 
Towson 47, Hofstra 46

Thalia Shepard was clutch at the charity strip to earn Towson a 47-46 win over Hofstra. Entering the final four minutes of action, India Johnston gave the Tigers a 45-42 lead before two straight Hofstra buckets from Sana’a Garrett and Sandra Magolico. Trailing 45-46, Garrett fouled Towson’s Semaya Turner, sending her to the line and ultimately converting the second-chance free throw to level it. After a Hofstra miss from the field, Shepard was fouled and sent to the line. Despite missing her first, she drilled the second to earn the Tigers a 47-46 lead with 11 seconds on the clock. Johnston paced Towson once again with 13 points off the bench, while Nevaeh Brown had a game-high 17 for the Pride.
 
Stony Brook 57, Drexel 53

After establishing a five-point lead at halftime, Stony Brook held onto its advantage to best Drexel 57-53. With 5:26 on the clock, Delaney Cooper drilled a 3-pointer to give the Seawolves a 51-44 lead. Drexel stormed back with a 6-2 run thanks to points from Amaris Baker and Laine McGurk before Johanna Potter’s turnaround jumper pulled Stony Brook ahead 55-50. Joy McCorvey’s leading scorer on the day, Diaka Berete, sank two from the charity stripe as time expired to close out the victory. Berete finished with an impressive 18 points and 10 rebounds while Deja Evans put up 20 for the Dragons.
 
Charleston 62, William & Mary 60

Grace Ezebilo’s stellar performance on the glass gave Charleson the edge over William & Mary in a close 62-60 victory. The Cougars’ forward corralled in an impressive 17 boards, helping contribute to Charleston’s 21-8 advantage in second-chance points. With 41 seconds on the clock, William & Mary’s Monet Dance sank a layup to make it 61-60. After Taryn Barbot missed from the field, Ezebilo came up as the hero, blocking Cassidy Geddes shot from the field, and thwarting the Tribe’s potential lead-taking shot. Consequently, Sophia Tougas extended Charleston’s lead by one at the line to close out the win. Ezebilo notched  her 12th double-digit performance on the glass this season alongside eight ponts. Natalie Fox put up 16 in the loss for the Tribe.
 
Campbell 62, Elon 52

Campbell rallied in the final nine minutes to erase a seven-point deficit and defeat Elon 62-52. The Phoenix came out firing in the fourth, with LaNae’ Corbett knocking down a jump shot before Kamry Doty drilled a trey to make it 49-42. Campbell fired back five of its own, thanks to Jasmine Felton’s two from the free throw line and a 3-pointer from Jasmine Nivar to make it a two-point game. After trading points, Campbell stole momentum with a 13-0 run to seal the win. Freshman N’na Konate kickstarted the stretch with a layup before Nivar scored the final two points of her game-high 24 to seal it. Corbett paced the Phoenix once again with 17.
