RICHMOND, Va. (January 16, 2026) – Defense was on full display across the CAA with six teams earning another conference victory.
Stony Brook 61, Hofstra 44
BOX SCORE
Stony Brook took over in the second half to defeat Hofstra 61-44. Separated 30-26 midway through the third quarter, the Seawolves began to extend their advantage. After Sandra Gracia- Frau went 1-of-2 from the charity stripe, Alex Brown and Caitlin Frost both knocked down shots to make it a 36-26 game in the space of four minutes. Hofstra pulled to within five in the fourth after Ema Karim scored on the fast break, but another 8-0 run by the Seawolves closed out a commanding win. Frost was dominant in the win, putting up 11 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists. Hofstra got double-digit showings from Sandra Magolico (14) and Chloe Sterling (12).
Hampton 59, William & Mary 49

Despite falling behind 12-2 through the first six minutes, Hampton came storming back to defeat William & Mary 59-49. Kayla Lezama was vital to keeping the Pirates within reach. With three minutes left in the first, the guard went on a 9-2 run of her own to make it a 16-14 game. Momentum stayed with Hampton for the next two quarters, holding William & Mary to 10 points, including just four in the third quarter. Kiarra Mcelrath had the hot hand, scoring 16 of Hampton’s 30 points during the stretch. After knocking down a jump shot in the second, she drained a three to give Hampton a lead it ultimately would not relinquish. Lezama gave Hampton a game-high 23. Natalie Fox had 20 for the Tribe.
Charleston 74, Drexel 64

Taryn Barbot balled out with 25 points to power Charleston to a 74-63 win over Drexel. Distanced by two points through the first 10 minutes, Taryn Barbot took over. The reigning CAA Player of the Year poked the ball loose from the Dragons twice in the first three minutes of the second to score four on the fast break. Molly Rullo opened the Dragons’ scoring account shortly after, but Barbot wasn’t done. Another four-straight points extended Charleston’s lead to 28-16, with the Cougars holding on for the final 25 minutes to seal a fifth-straight conference win. Tyja Beans (17) and Taylor Barbot (14) also had strong performances, combining for 31 points. Amaris Baker had a team-high 17 for the Dragons.
Elon 72, UNCW 62

Ashanti Fox put up a career-high 17 points to lift Elon to a 72-62 victory over UNCW. All of Fox’s points came in the first half as Elon was able to establish a nine-point advantage. Coming into the game with 6:41 on the clock in the first quarter, the freshman made a pair of treys. Fox stayed on for the second quarter and had another five points within two minutes as Elon took an 11-point advantage. As a squad, the Phoenix drained 10 3-pointers, going 45.5% from behind the arc. Rori Cox paced UNCW with 13 points.
Campbell 61, Northeastern 51

Four Camels reached double digits as Campbell defeated Northeastern 61-51. Led by a game-high 16 points from Jasmine Nivar, Olivia Tucker (13), Gianni Boone (11), and Jasmine Felton (11) combined for 51 of Campbell’s 61 points. Entering the second half with a four-point lead, Ronny Fisher’s program padded its advantage with a 6-2 run to start the quarter. N’Na Konate drained two straight before Felton sunk a layup to make it 33-25 and give Campbell a lead it never gave back up. Yirsy Queliz’s 13 points were a team-high for the Huskies.
Monmouth 56, Towson 53

Seperated by a point heading into the final four minutes of play, Alexis Andrews was clutch to earn Monmouth a 56-53 come-from-behind victory over Towson. Down 49-50 with 3:31 on the clock, Andrews made the second chance bucket to pull the Hawks ahead. Semaya Turner drained a three-pointer within 12 seconds to retake the lead, but Andrews wasn’t done knocking down a trey of her own and retake a 54-53 advantage. Scoreless between both squads for the next two and a half minutes, Andrews was sent to the line and knocked down a clutch free throw to close out the game. Gigi Gamble (21) and Divine Dibula (22) led the way for Monmouth, scoring 43 of the Hawks’ points. India Johnston came off the bench to pour in 16 for Towson.
