RICHMOND, Va. – Towson’s Emely Rubio needed a brace to capture CAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Elon’s Anica Carpenter and UNCW’s Kamrey Watkins secured Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, on Monday.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Emely Rubio, Towson
Senior | Midfielder | Bowie, Md.
Rubio produced a brace in the team’s 2-0 win over Northeastern. Going up against one of the league’s best goalkeepers in Eliza Teplow, the Bowie, Md., headed her first goal of the game past the Huskies’ netminder in the 32nd minute. The senior midfielder buried her second of the contest off a feed from Meron Koro in the 74th minute. The brace marked the first two-goal effort of her collegiate career.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anica Carpenter, Elon
Junior | Goalkeeper | Seattle, Wash.
Carpenter made five saves Sunday to help Elon blank William & Mary in a 2-0 victory at Rudd Field on Sunday. It was the most saves by any of the CAA goalkeepers that produced a clean sheet last weekend. The five saves were a season high for Carpenter, who made her second start of the season and first since Sept. 3 at VMI. It was the fifth overall shutout she has been a part of this season, having two solo and three shared with Naomi Person. The shutout was the second for Elon in CAA play and first since Sept. 20 against Campbell.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kamrey Watkins, UNCW
Freshman | Forward | Richlands, N.C.
Watkins continues to stand out on the front line for the Seahawks and helped UNCW clinch the top seed in the South Division heading into the 2026 CAA Championship. In Sunday's game against Charleston, the Richlands, N.C., native scored in the 54th minute of the game off a pass from Hailey Longwell to extend the Seahawks' lead to 2-0. The freshman forward assisted on Caigan Leonard’s 68th-minute goal that extended the lead to 3-0. Watkins continued to make important plays for the Seahawks, drawing the penalty kick, which Meg Umemoto converted in the 81st minute to close out the 4-0 win over the Cougars.
