Richmond, Va. -- Following his first career CAA Offensive Player of the Week selection, William & Mary freshman forward Brown Huffard has been named to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s National Team of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Huffard led the Tribe to a 1-0-1 week, scoring three goals across two games against Navy and Charleston. The McLean, Va., native scored twice in William & Mary’s 4-0 victory over Navy on Tuesday, opening the scoring in the 25th minute before adding his second goal in the 62nd minute. He followed with a goal in the 34th minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Charleston.

Huffard opened the season by earning the CAA’s first three Rookie of the Week honors. The freshman has since scored in three consecutive games and leads William & Mary with seven goals and 15 points this season. His seven goals are tied for second in the CAA, while his 15 points are tied for fourth alongside Charleston’s Matt Lenert and UNCW’s Cameron Keay.

The Tribe returns to CAA action on Saturday, Oct. 24, traveling to Campbell for a 6 p.m. kickoff in Buies Creek, N.C., before visiting North Carolina on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
