CAA Field Hockey Weekly Awards - Oct. 5, 2026
RICHMOND, Va. -- Fairfield’s Catalina Ness was named the CAA Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate Paige Jackson earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. William & Mary’s Callia Uviedo rounded out the weekly awards, earning Rookie of the Week recognition on Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Catalina Ness, Fairfield

Ness put together a five-point weekend to help Fairfield secure a pair of shutout victories. The senior midfielder assisted on the Stags’ second goal in Friday’s 4-0 win over Hofstra. Ness scored twice in Sunday’s 6-0 triumph over Lehigh, finding the back of the net in the 35th and 49th minutes for her first two goals of the season.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Paige Jackson, Fairfield
Jr. | GK | St. Louis, Mo.
Jackson recorded back-to-back shutouts to help Fairfield go 2-0 on the weekend. The junior goalkeeper played all 120 minutes across two contests, starting with a one-save effort in the team’s 4-0 win over Hofstra on Friday. Jackson added another stop in Sunday’s 6-0 victory over Lehigh, securing her second clean sheet of the weekend for the Stags.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Callia Uviedo, William & Mary
Fr. | M | Annandale, Va.
Uviedo tallied three points, including one goal and one assist, across three matches for William & Mary this week. The freshman scored the game-winning goal in the third quarter of Friday’s 2-1 victory over Towson. Uviedo added an assist in Sunday’s 3-2 setback to James Madison.
