CAA Softball Weekly Awards – Feb. 10, 2026

RICHMOND, Va. – Campbell's Charlie Montgomery and Charleston's Leela Langston split CAA Player of the Week, while North Carolina A&T's Aaliyah Williams and the Cougars' Bronwyn Conroy garnered Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors on Tuesday.
 
Co-Player of the Week
Charlie Montgomery, Campbell
Senior | OF | Lumber Bridge, N.C.
In five games at the Campbell Stampede, Montgomery slashed .643/.688/.857. The senior outfielder went 9-for-14 with a double, a triple, six RBIs and three stolen bases. She helped the Camels to 51 runs during the opening slate (8th in NCAA) after crossing home plate six times. On Friday night, Montgomery went 3-for-3 with a triple in the season opener against Tennessee Tech. The Lumber Bridge, N.C., native proceeded to go 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in the second game versus Florida A&M. 
 
Co-Player of the Week
Leela Langston, Charleston
Sophomore | Catcher | Atlanta, Ga.
A flare for the dramatic as Langston notched three walk-offs in the Cougars’ four-win weekend. Slashing .529/.600/.588, the sophomore went 9-for-17 with five RBIs and four runs scored. CofC’s plate protector came up with runners on first and third in the bottom of the eighth and smacked an RBI single to knock off George Mason, 8-7. The following day, Langston drove in Austy Miller from second on a single up the middle to take down Siena, 5-4. Only a couple hours after that, Langston came to the plate in the seventh inning with runners on second and third and laced a game-winning single past the outstretched glove of the right fielder, taking down reigning BIG EAST regular season champion St. John’s, 6-5.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Aaliyah Williams, N.C. A&T
Junior | Pitcher | Savannah, Ga.
Williams made three appearances during the Heart of Georgia Classic, hosted by Mercer, and went 1-0 with 15 strikeouts and a 2.23 ERA in 15.2 innings pitched. In the A&T's season opener against Maine, Williams allowed just two hits and punched out six in 6.1 scoreless innings to guide A&T to a 3-2 win. Williams followed up with another six innings of work, giving up just one earned run and striking out four with a no-decision against Evansville.
 
Rookie of the Week
Bronwyn Conroy, Charleston
Freshman | OF | Marietta, Ga.
Conroy produced a solid opening weekend with a .474/.545/.474 slash line, nine hits, five runs scored and three RBIs in a 4-1 weekend for the Cougars. The Marietta, Ga., native notched three multi-hit games over the weekend, all coming in wins over George Mason, St. John’s and Central Michigan. The freshman outfielder also logged her first multi-RBI game over the Patriots, including a single in the eighth inning to put the winning run in scoring position. The Cougars’ outfielder also finished the weekend with seven stolen bases.
