Jasmine Nivar are the CAA women’s basketball weekly award winners for the week ending on February 15.

Junior | Center | Cairo, Egypt / Western Reserve Academy
Sallman recorded a career-high double-double in William & Mary’s 75-70 win over Towson. Helping the Tribe earn its first season sweep over the Tigers since 2020, the Egyptian center scored a personal-best 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting alongside 12 boards. Sallman’s performance powered the Tribe to its third win in the last four games as William & Mary improved to 6-6 in CAA play.

Cox led UNCW to a win over N.C. A&T with a career day on the stat sheet. Reaching 33 points in the 69-64 victory, the Brooklyn native eclipsed her personal-best performance to earn the Seahawks their first conference win since Jan. 2. Cox neared a double-double in the result with nine rebounds alongside five assists and three steals. Just two days later, the guard had 14 points and seven rebounds in a narrow defeat to Campbell.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jasmine Nivar, Campbell
Freshman | Guard | Apex, N.C. / Apex Friendship HS
Nivar led the Camels to a 2-0 week, helping earn come-from-behind victories over Hofstra and UNCW. In a 58-47 win over the Pride, the first-year guard led all scorers with 17 points. She also chipped in with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Helping erase an eight-point halftime deficit against UNCW, the Apex Friendship Alumnae neared a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds. Nivar was clutch from the charity stripe, converting two free throws with 12 seconds remaining to put the Camels ahead by four in the final moments.
