RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 20, 2026) – A triple double from Paris Locke in a triple-overtime win and a 36-point showing from Taryn Barbot headlined an exciting evening of women’s hoops.
N.C. A&T 89, Northeastern 86 (3OT)

A triple-double from Paris Locke and a clutch bucket from Chaniya Clark willed N.C. A&T to a 89-87 win over Northeastern in triple overtime. Locke dominated in all aspects, recording 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists in a staggering 51 minutes of action. The momentum swung multiple times throughout the contest. Both teams held multi-possession leads, including A&T, which was ahead by as many as seven in the fourth quarter. The Aggies thought they had won the game with four seconds left in the fourth after a trey from Clark, but Camryn Collins ran down the court and drilled a deep 2-pointer from the corner to level the game at 70 with no time on the clock.
Five minutes later, the Huskies thought they had won the game. Morgan Matthews sunk a mid-range shot, only for it to be waived off for a shot-clock violation. Deadlocked at 79 through 10 minutes of overtime, A&T pulled ahead. A 5-0 run from Locke gave the Aggies a four-point lead before Matthews scored five of Northeastern’s final six points to re-knot the game at 86 with 34 seconds remaining. Grabbing the ball at the top of the key with 11 seconds on the clock, Clark sank her 22nd and final point of the game to win it with her trey. Justice Tramble had an 18-point and 21-rebound double-double.
Charleston 88, Towson 78

Thirty-six points from Taryn Barbot helped Charleston erase a 15-point first-quarter defict to defeat Towson 88-78. Barbot came alive in the second half, dropping 26 points as Charleston came from behind to earn its 13th conference win of the season. Towson owned the first quarter, outscoring Charleston 29-20. Drilling five 3-pointers, the Tigers got points from seven players, including seven from Viki Matulevicius. By the third quarter, Towson had extended its lead back up to 12 before the Cougars began to take over. Grace Ezebilo jump-started a 13-2 run that pulled Charleston within two points in less than three minutes. After five unanswered points from Towson, the Cougars retook momentum to pull ahead. Tyja Beans sank a layup before Taylor Barbot scored five consecutive points for the Cougars to knot the game at 55. With a minute and a half remaining in the frame, Robin Harmony’s program went on a 9-5 run to hold the advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Charleston never let up, outscoring Towson 24-18 in the final frame to seal the win. Talia Shephard had 26 points for the Tigers.
Drexel 50, Hampton 47

Drexel battled back to earn a 50-47 victory over Hampton. Trailing by as many as four at the start of the fourth quarter, the Dragons produced a 10-2 run before a clutch showcase from the charity stripe sealed the win. Mariah Watkins was the catalyst for the stretch, grabbing an offensive board and drilling a jumper to cut the Pirates’ lead to two before Julia Roig Garcia knotted the game at 39. The first year knocked down two free throws a little over a minute later, before getting to the rack and sinking a layup to take a two-point advantage. Held without a field goal for the remaining 5:20, Drexel had to be clutch at the charity stripe. First was a perfect Amaris Baker, then a 2-for-2 performance from Grace O’Neill to extend the lead to six. Kiarra McElrath and Kiya Dorroh got the Pirates to within one before O’Neill was clutch again, drilling two more. Despite a free throw from Le’Asia Foreman, the three-point cushion was too much for the Pirates to overcome in the final 19 seconds. O’Neill saw all of her points come in the fourth quarter from the charity stripe. McElrath had a game-high 19 points.
Stony Brook 60, UNCW 55

Deadlocked heading into the final 10 minutes, Stony Brook swung momentum in its favor to defeat UNCW 60-55. With the score tied at 39 after 30 minutes, the Seawolves put together a run that ultimately won the game. Thirty-seven seconds in, Diaka Berete grabbed the offensive board and sank a second-chance layup to pull Stony Brook ahead. After a Kylah Silver free throw for UNCW, Janay Brantley (3), Berete (2), and Chloe Oliver (3) got on the scoresheet to round out a 10-1 run and put the Seawolves ahead by nine. The Seahawks came as close as four at the tail end of the contest, but two perfect trips to the line from Brantley and Berete closed out the win. Berete finished the game with 17 points and seven boards, while Silver’s 21 points paced the field.
Monmouth 63, William & Mary 58

Separated by just three points after the first half, Monmouth produced a dominant third-quarter showing to defeat William & Mary 63-58. Both teams traded buckets coming out of halftime, with Marley Long having 4-straight four points in the span of two minutes to pull the Tribe within one point, before the Hawks got going. Gigi Gamble got the cup before an Ella Farrelly 3-pointer pushed the Hawks ahead by six. Alexa Mikeska cut into Monmouth’s scoring flurry with a jumper of her own, but couldn’t stop the run as Cait Wetmore’s program outscored William & Mary 6-1 over the next two and a half minutes. Monmouth closed out the quarter with a 12-point advantage that it never relinquished. Dynasti Pierce had a team-high 11 points for the Tribe.
Elon 68, Campbell 54

Elon pulled ahead in the third quarter to help earn a 68-54 victory over Campbell. Despite carrying a 20-12 advantage into the second quarter, Campbell kept on the Phoenix's heels. Coming out of halftime with a 7-0 run, the Camels flipped the scoreline to take a 31-29 lead. However, Elon remained calm to sway momentum back into its favor. LaNae’ Corbett knotted the game at 31 before five-straight points from Ashanti Fox pulled Elon back ahead. Campbell was held to one field goal for the remainder of the quarter while Elon went on a 6-2 run to go ahead by eight. Corbett finished as the Phoenix's leading scorer with 16 points while Tucker had a game-high 23.
