James Rico made a valiant comeback at the SeaBest Invitational to warrant CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Rico led the charge in the Seahawks’ runner-up finish at the shortened SeaBest Invitational, headlined by the eventual winner, No. 5 Florida, and third-place finisher No. 34 Texas A&M. The senior battled back from an even-par 71 in the opening round that saw him sit tied for 18
th place. The Cary, N.C., product surged up the leaderboard to start day two after sinking a birdie on three of his first five holes of the day. Rico found the bottom of the cup for birdie on three of his final four holes, posting a 5-under 137 and sealing a sixth-place finish among some of the nation’s best golfers.
