CAA CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jlynn Counter, Charleston
Graduate Student | Guard | Oklahoma City, Okla.
Counter led the Cougars to a 2-0 week with wins over Hampton and top-seeded UNCW. The graduate guard averaged 16.0 ppg on 45.0% shooting from the floor (9-20 FG) and 80.0% from the line (8-10 FT). He paced the league last week with 6.0 assists and 2.5 steals, while pulling down 3.5 rebounds per game. The Oklahoma City, Okla., native registered 20 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to orchestrate Charleston's charge from down 15 and secure a 79-76 comeback road win over UNCW to conclude its regular season. He also added seven assists in the win. Counter chipped in nine points, five assists and four rebounds at Hampton.
 
CAA CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jason Rivera-Torres, Monmouth
Junior | Guard | Bronx, N.Y.
Rivera-Torres helped Monmouth go 2-0 last week with wins over Stony Brook and Elon, scoring 21.0 ppg on 57.1% shooting from the floor (12-21 FG), 57.1% shooting from distance (8-14 3FG) and 90.9% from the free-throw line (10-11 FT). The junior guard also racked up 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game to go with a +4.5 assist/turnover ratio. In Thursday's win over Stony Brook, Rivera-Torres logged 17 of his 25 points in the second half to go with six rebounds and four assists. The Bronx, N.Y., native followed up with a team-best 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in Saturday's win over Elon.
 
CAA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Davis Jr., Charleston
Freshman | Guard | Madison, Wis.
Davis averaged 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in the Cougars’ 2-0 week on the road. The freshman guard notched a season-best 17 points in a come-from-behind win at UNCW, knocking down a trio of triples down the stretch, including a game-tying trey with 3:17 remaining. He also chipped in five boards and three steals in the victory. Davis had an all-around effort at Hampton on Thursday with nine points, six rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers.
 
MARCH HAS ARRIVED
After trailing by as many as 15, Jlynn Counter scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half and helped Charleston orchestrate a valiant 79-76 victory over UNCW on Sunday. The Cougars’ top scorer went 6-for-11 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line, while dishing out seven assists in the win. Chris Davis Jr. put forth a 17-point, five-rebound effort, seeing three of his six makes go down from distance. Connor Hickman rounded out those in double figures with 10 points. Following Sunday’s win, Charleston will ride a five-game winning streak into the postseason. The Seahawks’ Nolan Hodge knocked down four 3-pointers en route to a 15-point showing, while Patrick Wessler notched his league-leading 15th double-double with 11 points and 16 boards.
 
WHAT WE KNOW
UNCW, Charleston and Hofstra have clinched the top three seeds, respectively, in the upcoming 2026 Air Force Reserve CAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The Seahawks can secure the regular season crown outright with a win over Charleston on Sunday. Northeastern and North Carolina A&T will face off in the opening round of the CAA Tournament on Friday, March 6 at 2 p.m., on FloCollege.

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS
Towson will visit Stony Brook for a 6:30 p.m. tilt on FloCollege. The Tigers secured a 69-57 win on Feb. 12 over the Seawolves, marking their sixth-straight victory in the series. Tyler Tejada put forth a career-high 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting, while pulling down seven boards. Stony Brook saw 10-point efforts from Rob Brown III, Jonah Butler and Erik Pratt.
 
Drexel will head across state lines to face Hofstra on Long Island in a 7 p.m. showdown on FloCollege. The Pride secured a 70-67 win in their earlier meeting in Philadelphia on Jan. 3, seeing Cruz Davis go off for 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. Drexel’s Shane Blakeney chipped in a team-high 18 points. The Dragons can secure the No. 4 seed in the 2026 Air Force Reserve CAA Men’s Basketball Championship with a win on Tuesday.
 
Monmouth will travel to Northeastern for a 7 p.m. contest on FloCollege. Regardless of the Hawks’ result on Tuesday, a Drexel loss will lock the Hawks into the fourth seed. Monmouth posted an 81-68 win over the Huskies on Jan. 19 after Justin Ray knocked down seven treys and scored 29 points. Northeastern’s Mike Loughnane put forth 15 points and seven boards in the setback.
 
N.C. A&T will head to Campbell for a 7 p.m. showdown from Buies Creek on FloCollege. The Camels captured a 79-71 victory in their first meeting with the Aggies on Feb. 7, thanks to Jeremiah Johnson’s 24 points and eight rebounds, and a 17-point, 10-board double-double by Dovydas Butka. A&T’s Lewis Walker led his squad with 17 points.
 
William & Mary will play host to Hampton on Tuesday, with tip-off slated for 7 p.m. on FloCollege. The Pirates’ Etienne Strothers sank a late trey, part of an 18-point performance, to stun the Tribe with a 77-74 victory on Feb. 7. Xzavier Long logged 13 points and 14 boards in 39 minutes of work for Hampton. W&M relied on Ryan Jackson Jr. in reserve, notching 18 points in 27 minutes of action off the bench.
 
Elon will welcome UNCW to Schar Center for a 7 p.m. showdown on FloCollege. The Seahawks will look to secure the CAA Regular Season Title outright with a win on Tuesday. UNCW capitalized on a 15-point showing from Christian May to earn a 65-54 win over the Phoenix on Feb. 12. Elon’s Isaac Harrell logged 12 points and seven boards in the setback.
