Jasmine Nivar are the CAA women’s basketball weekly award winners for the week ending on March 8.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Gigi Gamble, Monmouth
Junior | Guard | Somerset, N.J. / Life Center Academy
Gamble had a historic performance in Monmouth’s 83-77 win over Towson, pouring in a career-high 41 points. The junior guard’s scoring total set an OceanFirst Bank Center building record and ranks as the second-highest single-game output by a Monmouth women’s basketball player. Gamble went 6-of-7 from deep and led a Hawks offense that shot 53.8% from 3-point land and 50.9% from the floor. Her point tally was also the most by a CAA women’s basketball player since the 2022-23 season.

Nivar led the Camels with 16 points in their season finale to lock up the No. 2 seed for the 2026 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship. Going 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, the eight-time CAA Rookie of the Week was clutch in a 55-41 come-from-behind victory over Stony Brook. Nivar also scored eight points alongside three assists, three assists, and a steal in a 69-51 win over Hampton.
