CAA BASEBALL WEEKLY REPORT - APRIL 13
RICHMOND, Va. (April 13, 2026) – Northeastern senior outfielder Harrison Feinberg received CAA baseball Player of the Week honors, while Campbell senior David Rossow and Stony Brook senior Micah Worley shared CAA Pitcher of the Week honors. UNCW freshman pitcher Trey Williford was selected as the CAA Rookie of the Week.
CAA Baseball Player of the Week
Harrison Feinberg, Northeastern – Sr., OF – Greenwich, Conn.
Feinberg batted .467 (7-15) with a double, five homers and 15 RBI’s in Northeastern’s 4-1 week. The senior provided an RBI single in a Beanpot win over Harvard and followed with a homer and four RBI’s in an 11-10 victory over Merrimack on Friday. He went deep and drove in four in a 9-2 win over Merrimack on Saturday before capping the weekend with three homers and six RBI’s in 13-5 triumph over Maine. Feinberg, who slugged 1.533 for the week, scored six runs and was 7-for-7 on stolen bases.
CAA Baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week
David Rossow, Campbell – Sr., RHP – Boca Raton, Fla.
Rossow fired a career-long 8.0 innings, allowed just one run on four hits and fanned 11 in Campbell’s 7-3 victory over UNCW on Saturday. The right-hander didn’t allow a runner past second base through six frames before giving up a solo homer in the 7
th. He struck out at least one batter in seven of eight innings and earned his CAA-best seventh win (7-1) of the year.
CAA Baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week
Micah Worley, Stony Brook – Sr., LHP – Kirkwood, Mo.
Worley threw a career-long 7.2 innings, gave up just three hits and struck out a career-best 13 in Stony Brook’s 5-0 shutout win over Hofstra on Saturday. The lefty allowed only one runner to reach second base while recording the most strikeouts for an SBU pitcher since 2015. Worley (4-3) tops the CAA with 68 strikeouts and ranks second with a 2.53 ERA.
CAA Baseball Rookie of the Week
Trey Williford, UNCW – Fr., LHP – Farmville, N.C.
Williford earned the win in UNCW’s 5-3 victory at Campbell on Friday with a dominant relief effort. The lefty surrendered just a single over 4.0 shutout innings and struck out nine. Over his last two appearances, Williford has gone 2-0 while giving up one hit over 8.0 scoreless frames with 13 K’s.

CONFERENCE NOTES
CAMPBELL EXTENDS SOUTH LEAD
Campbell won 2-of-3 from UNCW in a battle of the top two teams in the South Division. UNCW scored four in the fifth to take the opener, 5-3, but Campbell used a six-run sixth to win, 7-3, on Saturday. The Camels rallied from an early 5-2 deficit to pick up a series-clinching 7-5 victory on Sunday. At 16-2 in CAA play, Campbell holds a 5.5-game lead in the standings.
MONMOUTH SWEEPS AGAIN
Monmouth swept its third CAA series of the year, taking three from Towson. It’s the first time since 2018 that the Hawks have had three league sweeps in a season. Monmouth improved to 14-4 atop the North Division and owns a 2.5-game lead on Northeastern.
CHARLESTON TOPS SOUTH CAROLINA
Charleston defeated SEC foe and in-state rival South Carolina, 6-4, last Tuesday. Ethan Plyler’s 2-run double in the 9th was the difference as Chad Holbrook improved to 2-0 against the team he coached for nearly two decades. The Cougars are currently riding a five-game winning streak.
LOOKING AHEAD
There are a pair of games against ranked opponents on the Tuesday non-conference slate. UNCW visits #3 North Carolina and Northeastern meets #24 Boston College in the championship game of the Baseball Beanpot.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
The CAA has four of thre top 25 teams in the nation in stolen bases - Northeastern is 2nd (138), William & Mary is 4th (107), Campbell is 14th (95) and Stony Brook is 25th (85). UNCW ranks 34th in Division I in ERA (4.24), 8th in hits allowed per 9 IP (7.25), 23rd in WHIP (1.27). Campbell ranks 29th in K/BB ratio (2.59).
CAMPBELL CAMELS (23-12; 16-2 CAA)
• The Camels extended their lead atop the South after winning 2-of-3 from UNCW as part of a 2-2 week.
• David Rossow improved to a CAA-best 7-1 after holding UNCW to four hits and one run over 8.0 innings in a 7-3 win. He struck out 11 and has 58 K’s for the year.
• Joey Morton’s grand slam capped a 6-run inning in Saturday’s win over UNCW. Morton, who is riding an 8-game hitting streak, leads the Camels with 8 homers and 37 RBI’s.
• Carlos Lugo was 4-for-9 (.444) and drew four walks in the UNCW series. He leads Campbell with a .323 batting average.
• Zach Sabers threw 4.0 shutout innings of relief in Sunday’s victory over UNCW.
CHARLESTON COUGARS (16-19; 8-7 CAA)
• The Cougars are on a 5-game winning streak after a 4-0 week that included a CAA sweep of North Carolina A&T.
• Alex LaCoste stayed hot, batting .467 (7-15) with four runs, eight RBI’s and four SB’s. He drove in four in a win at South Carolina and had at least one hit and one RBI in all four contests.
• Austin Wiegandt went 1-0 with a 2.35 ERA and 11 K’s in 7.2 innings last week. He held South Carolina to one run over 4.0 frames in his first collegiate start and held A&T to a run in 3.2 innings of relief.
• Reece Holbrook was 6-for-9 (.667) in the A&T series with four RBI’s.
• Alex Lyon threw 4.0 shutout innings of relief in Saturday’s win over the Aggies.
ELON PHOENIX (14-21; 6-12 CAA)
• The Phoenix closed a 1-3 with a 9-4 victory over William & Mary.
• Brian DuRoff had another strong week offensively, batting .429 (6-14) with four doubles, a homer and seven RBI’s. He drove in multiple runs in three of the four contests and leads EU with 32 RBI’s.
• Brian Strange provided a solid start vs. W&M on Friday, limiting the Tribe to three earned runs over 6.0 innings. He has a 4.13 ERA for the season.
• Gar Hindle smacked an 8th-inning grand slam to break open the game in Elon’s win over W&M on Sunday. It was Hindle’s first homer of the season.
HOFSTRA PRIDE (11-18; 6-9 CAA)
• The Pride defeated Stony Brook, 11-5, in Friday’s series opener but dropped the final two games.
• Nick Gallello posted his first two-homer game in Sunday’s 12-11 setback, finishing 3-for-6 for the day.
• Michael Brown increased his hitting streak to 11 last week and recorded the 100th hit of his career with his first triple of the season on Sunday. Brown is batting a team-best .340.
• Gabriel Melara hit .400 (4-10) in the SBU series with a double and two RBI’s. He raised his average to .313.
• Carlos Martinez earned his first win of the year on Friday, allowing three runs over 6.0 innings and fanning seven.
MONMOUTH HAWKS (19-13; 14-4 CAA)
• The Hawks recorded their third CAA series sweep of the season, taking three from Towson to cap a 4-0 week.
• Chris Walsh batted .429 (6-14) with a double, homer, six runs and five RBI’s last week. He had multiple hits in three contests and stole three bases. Walsh has reached base in 26 straight games.
• Ryan Mealy provided a strong start in Friday’s 8-2 win over Towson. He allowed just one run in a season-long 7.0 innings and struck out five.
• Freshman Sam Saucke batted .375 with two doubles, six runs and three RBI’s. He was 3-for-5 in Friday’s win over TU.
N.C. A&T AGGIES (9-25; 3-12 CAA)
• The Aggies had an 0-4 week, including losing three CAA games at Charleston.
• Andrew Tinsley was 5-for-12 in the CofC series with a pair of doubles and two RBI’s. His 23 RBI’s for the season rank second on the team.
• Nick DeCarlo led off all three games of the Charleston series with a hit and batted .462 (6-13) for the series with four runs scored. DiCarlo tops the Aggies with a .347 batting average.
• Diego Barrett didn’t allow a run over 6.2 innings in three relief appearances last week and fanned five.
• A&T opens an eight-game homestand this week.
UNCW SEAHAWKS (20-15; 9-6 CAA)
• The Seahawks picked up a 5-3 win at Campbell on Friday as part of a 1-3 week.
• Trevor Lucas batted .500 (7-14) with four runs and four RBI’s last week. He had multiple hits in three contests and drove in three in the victory at CU on Friday.
• Kevin Jones belted a solo homer at CU on Saturday that tied the game at 1-1 in the 7th.
• JP Pennella batted .429 (6-14) last week and extended his hitting streak to nine games. He has delivered multiple hits in three of those contests.
• Trey Williford fired 4.0 shutout innings and fanned nine in Friday’s victory.
NORTHEASTERN HUSKIES (20-15; 10-5 CAA)
• The Huskies posted a 4-1 week that opened with a 4-1 victory over Harvard to advance to the championship game of the Baseball Beanpot for the 3rd straight year.
• Harrison Feinberg had a hugh week at the plate, batting .467 with a double, homer and 15 RBI’s. In a 13-5 win over Maine on Sunday, he went deep three times and drove in six to up his season HR total to 11.
• Ryan Griffin delivered his best start of the year vs. Merrimack, throwing 6.0 shutout innings and striking out seven. He’s given up just one run over his last 12 innings with 16 K’s.
• Charlie Criscola batted .389 with a double, two RBI’s and five SB’s last week.
STONY BROOK SEAWOLVES (11-21; 8-10 CAA)
• The Seawolves won 2-of-3 from Hofstra to claim their second straight CAA series as part of a 2-2 week.
• Micah Worley fired 7.2 scoreless innings in a 5-0 win over HU on Saturday, allowing only three hits and striking out a career-high 13. He leads the CAA with 68 K’s and is 2nd with a 2.53 ERA.
• Chanz Doughty batted .500 (6-12) for the week and walked six times. He was 3-for-4 and doubled twice in Saturday’s win and scored 3 times on Sunday.
• Chris Carson and Scott Gell drove in four runs apiece as SBU got a 12-11 win in 10 innings on Sunday to clinch the series over the Pride.
TOWSON TIGERS (15-18; 4-14 CAA)
• The Tigers ran their non-conference win streak to seven by beating Coppin State and George Mason last week, but were swept by CAA foe Monmouth.
• Keldrin Rodriguez had six hits, including a pair of homers last week. He scored at least one run in all five games.
• Max D’Alessandro was 3-for-3 with a double, homer and two RBI’s in a 10-8 loss to Monmouth on Sunday.
• Brady Nathison was 6-for-11 in the Monmouth series with a homer, three runs scored and four RBI’s.
• Aden Knowles held MU to one run on two hits over 5.0 innings on Saturday.
WILLIAM & MARY TRIBE (14-20; 6-9 CAA)
• The Tribe took 2-of-3 at Elon as part of a 2-2 week. W&M rallied for five runs in the 9th to win 9-6 in the opener at EU.
• Louie Bartletti batted .636 (7-11) for the week with a triple, homer and three RBI’s. He had a pinch-hit 2-run triple on Saturday and was 3-for-3 on Sunday.
• Freshman Sam Kaczmarek had a big week, batting .500 (7-14) with four runs and three RBI’s. He had at least one hit in all four games, including a 3-for-3 effort with 2 RBI’s on Saturday.
• Jack Weight held Elon to two hits in 3.2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win on Friday. He struck out four and didn’t issue a walk.
