RICHMOND, Va. – Hofstra’s Nikki Mennella and Charli Joyce captured Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week recognition, respectively, while Stony Brook’s Braeden Siverson set a CAA record to garner Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.

Offensive Player of the Week
Nikki Mennella, Hofstra
Redshirt Junior | Attacker | Smithtown, N.Y.
Mennella added another incredible performance to her extensive list of recognition in the Pride's 22-11 win over Monmouth on Saturday that moved the team to 5-0 in CAA play. The Smithtown, N.Y., native tied a career-high 11 points on seven goals and four assists, extending her goal-scoring streak to 23 games and point-scoring streak to 29. Mennella came up huge in the second half as she netted five of her seven snipes after entering halftime tied at eight. The personal benchmark, coincidentally, also matched her 11-point effort at Monmouth last season. In addition, the 11 points are a program record, the fourth-most points in a game in NCAA Division I this season and tied for the fourth-highest total in CAA history. Saturday marked the 11th time in Mennella’s career that she logged six or more goals in a game.?

Defensive Player of the Week
Braeden Siverson, Stony Brook
Junior | Midfielder | Morristown, N.J.
Siverson won 18 draw controls, setting a new single-game program record and a CAA benchmark in Stony Brook's 18-9 win at William & Mary. Siverson was responsible for 18 of Stony Brook's 22 draw control wins and 18 of the contest's 29 total, securing 62.1% of the draws. Her 18 DCs exceeded former Seawolves’ standout Ellie Masera, who won 17 draws against Villanova on March 2, 2024. Offensively, Siverson added a pair of assists.

Rookie of the Week
Charli Joyce, Hofstra
Freshman | Attacker | Parkville, Md.
Joyce put forth a season-high performance for the Pride as she was a key force in the team’s effort to keep its CAA record perfect and moved to 5-0 in conference play. The freshman attacker totaled five points on four goals and one assist in the contest. Both the goal and point totals marked new season-highs for the rookie. The hat trick was the second of her freshman campaign. Her first goal of the game got Hofstra on the board in the opening minutes before adding a tally in both the second and third quarters.
