CAA Outdoor Track &Field Weekly Awards – Apr. 14, 2026

RICHMOND, Va. (Apr. 14, 2026) –Northeastern junior Savannah Blair, William & Mary graduate student Tia Taylor, UNCW seniorCam Wright, and UNCW graduate student Ivan Poag earned CAA outdoor track and field weekly award recognition for their performances last weekend.
 
WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Savannah Blair, Northeastern 
Junior | Sprints | Ajax, Ontario, Canada / J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate

Blair championed the 100m dash at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational. Crossing the finish line at 11.47, the junior sprinter broke her own school record with the second-best time in the conference. Blair also took second place in the 200m with a 23:52 pace, ranking first in the CAA.

   

WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tia Taylor, William & Mary
Graduate Student | Hurdles/Jumps | Egg Harbor City, N.J. / St. Basil Academy

Taylor delivered a standout performance at the Duke Invitational, highlighting her weekend with a school-record mark in the long jump. The graduate student broke the William & Mary record with a leap of 6.08m (19’ 11.5), finishing seventh in a highly competitive field. Her jump ranks second in the conference and 80th nationally.

MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Cam Wright, UNCW
Senior | Sprints | Charlotte, N.C. / Weddington

Wright produced a season-best performance at the Duke Invitational. With his 13.91 pace in the 110m hurdles, the senior finished second overall. Wright’s time sits second in the CAA and is 52nd nationally.

MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ivan Poag, UNCW
Graduate Student | Jumps | Mocksville, N.C. / Davie County

At the Duke Invitational, Poag finished third in the triple jump with a personal-best mark. The graduate student leapt a season-best 15.38m (50’ 5.5”), marking the second-best performance in the CAA this season and 37th nationally.
