RICHMOND, Va. – The UNCW women’s golf team maintained a two-stroke lead following the second round of the 2026 CAA Women’s Golf Championship from The Reserve Club at St. James in Southport, N.C., on Saturday afternoon.

The Seahawks will enter the final round with a 7-over 583 after seeing standout efforts from the top two finishers through two rounds. Clubhouse leader Minouche Rooijmans tied a career-best with a 4-under 68 in round two, a mark that is tied for the second-lowest individual round score in Women’s Golf Championship history. The junior became just the second Seahawk to shoot 4-under in a single round and joined Emily Klein with her 68 in the final round of the 2008 event.  She also became just the third women’s golfer to sink a tournament-best seven birdies in a single round, and the first to do so since 2013.

UNCW’s Victoria Levy entered the clubhouse right behind Rooijmans with a 2-under through two rounds. The redshirt senior went bogey-free on the back nine to settle at 1-over 73 on Saturday. Hannah Altman and Alexis Faieta also found themselves tied among the top 10 with a 6-over through two rounds.

Charleston sits two strokes behind UNCW at 9-over 585, also finding four golfers in the top 10. Carys Fennessy is one of four golfers to shoot under par through two rounds with a 1-under 143. The freshman pocketed four birdies on the back nine to turn in the second-best finish in round two at 2-under. Emilie von Finckenstein will enter the final round in sixth place at 3-over, while Adrian Anderson and Molly Hardwick are both tied for eighth at 5-over.

Campbell’s Jade Potter joined Fennessy with a 1-under 143 through the opening two rounds, sitting tied for third. Taylah Ellems (+1) and Izabella Grimbrandt (+6) are among the top 10 following Saturday’s action, sitting fifth and tied for 10th, respectively. The Camels are also third in the standings following back-to-back 7-over performances as a team.

The three teams – UNCW, Charleston and Campbell – will tee off at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday.

Elon’s Kelly Zhao and William & Mary’s Reagan Garnsey continue to be among the top scorers and will enter the final round in seventh place and tied for 10th, respectively, at 4-over and 6-over. The Phoenix (+34) and the Tribe (+57) will join Towson (+66) on the first hole at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

North Carolina A&T, Monmouth and Hofstra will open the final round from the 10th hole at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
