Player of the Week
Gabby Sultan, Hofstra
Junior | DP | Ashburn, Va.
Sultan had a strong week for Hofstra as she was a main factor in the Pride's 4-0 week that included a CAA sweep of Stony Brook. For the week, Sultan slashed .417/.385/.917 with three doubles, a home run and five RBIs. In Friday's series opener against Hofstra, the junior added a key insurance run with a solo blast in the sixth inning to help Hofstra to the 3-0 win. The Ashburn, Va., native then added a pair of two-hit, two-RBI performances in Saturday’s doubleheader to help the Pride complete the sweep. Three of Sultan’s four hits on the afternoon were doubles.
Pitcher of the Week

The Garner, N.C., native managed to toss 9.1 scoreless innings of work, surrendering just seven hits in total with three strikeouts. She opened the weekend with a combined shutout, going five frames and allowing just four singles. Hamilton tossed a perfect 1.1 innings in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, before picking up her 12th win of the season with another blank three frames in the rubber match.
Co-Rookie of the Week

Freshman | P/DP | Harrington, Del.
Sumpter was instrumental in guiding Monmouth to a 3-0 weekend over Towson, securing the first sweep of the season against a conference foe. Offensively, she tallied four hits and drove in a pair of crucial runs in the series. Her most notable performance came in the Hawks’ 6-3 win over Towson. The Harrington, Del., native hurled seven innings and allowed just one earned run with three strikeouts. Additionally, the two-way player belted a solo shot in the fourth inning for her team-best sixth of the season. Sumpter also doubled Monmouth’s lead in Sunday’s 3-1 win with a key sacrifice fly in the final frame.

Freshman | UTIL | Monticello, Ga.
Whitwell impacted the Seahawks’ scoring all weekend, slashing .455/.455/.500 with five hits, six runs scored and a pair of RBIs.
