RICHMOND, Va. (Apr. 21, 2026) –Elon junior Abby Beville, N.C. A&T junior Makenna Urbanek, Elon junior Adriana Clarke, N.C. A&T senior Jason Holmes, and N.C. A&T junior Xavier Partee earned CAA outdoor track and field weekly award recognition for their performances last weekend.
CO-WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Abby Beville, Elon
Junior | Distance | Hamilton, Mass. / Covenant Christian Academy
Beville clocked the top time for the conference in the 1500m race at the Wake Forest Invitational. The distance runner’s 4:19.75 pace was a personal-best mark and moved her into No. 6 in program history. Beville’s performance also stands as the 28th best time in the Southeast Region so far this season.

Makenna Urbanek, N.C. A&T
Junior | Sprinter | New Hope, Pa. / Pennington School
Urbanek won the women’s 100m race at the Aggie Invitational this past Saturday. The New Hope, Pa. resident ran a career-best 11.127 pace to take over the top spot in the CAA. Urbanek’s performance ranks 35th nationally as well as 22nd in the East Region. The junior also finished second in the 200m with a 23.62 pace.

Adriana Clarke, Elon
Junior | Throws | Yulee, Fla. / Yulee High School
Clarke cleared the 60m mark in the hammer throw to take first place at the Wake Forest Invitational. The Yulee High School alums' 60.27m (197’ 9”) performance took top spot in the conference and ranks second in Phoenix program history. Clarke also added a second personal record in the shot put (13.32m / 43’ 8.5”) to finish fifth in the event at the Aggie Invitational.

Jason Holmes, N.C. A&T
Senior | Hurdles| Baltimore, Md. / Calvert Hall
Holmes ran a season-best pace in the 110m hurdles to finish second at the Aggie Invitational. With his 13.46 time, the 2026 Indoor Track and Field All-American finished second, just behind professional hurdler Jamal Britt. Holmes’ time ranks 12th fastest in the nation and sixth in the East Region.

Junior | Jumps | Bronx, N.Y. / Ben L. Smith
Partee flew a season-high 15.57m (51’ 1”) in the triple jump to claim a new HBCU College Outdoor jump. The junior’s leap also topped the CAA’s performance list and is the 40th-best performance in the nation this campaign.
