RICHMOND, Va. – Hofstra’s Hank Kancher produced a top-five individual effort ahead of the CAA Men’s Golf Championship to garner the league’s Golfer of the Week honors on Wednesday.
 
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Hank Kancher, Hofstra
Freshman | Philadelphia, Pa.
Kancher finished The Roar-EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia, at 4-under 140 to sit in a three-way tie for fourth place. The freshman broke even in the opening round, needing a birdie on the 15^th hole to balance his scorecard. The Philadelphia product unloaded three straight birdies to open the front nine in the second round before finishing with a 4-under 68 and seven birdies to his credit. Kancher’s fourth-place standing marked his third top-five finish of the season and the second in his last three outings.
