TOWSON, Md. (Apr. 29, 2026) - The four-team field is set, and action is right around the corner as Towson, Drexel, Stony Brook, and Monmouth will compete in the 2026 CAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship semifinals on Thursday from Towson’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Top-seeded Towson (10-3, 6-0) faces off against #4 Monmouth (6-6, 3-3) in the first semifinal game of the tournament at 4 p.m., while #2 Drexel (9-5, 5-1) and #3 Stony Brook (8-5, 4-2) take the field later that evening at 7 p.m.

Towson has held the CAA crown since the 2024 season and will look to three-peat for the third time in program history. Monmouth is set to make its first tournament appearance, having joined the CAA in 2022.

Towson enters the tournament on a 24-game conference win streak and is unbeaten over its last eight contests. Powered by the unanimous CAA Offensive Player of the Year, Mikey Weisshaar, Towson has one of the most explosive offenses in all of college lacrosse. The back-to-back honoree leads the league with 3.23 goals per game alongside an impressive 1.69 assists. At the back, CAA Defensive Player of the Year Matt Nilan anchored the conference’s top defense, restricting his opponents to 9.46 goals against on a CAA-best .554 save percentage. Head coach Shawn Nadelen earned CAA Coach of the Year honors after guiding Towson to yet another regular-season title.

Monmouth secured its postseason spot with a 14-11 win over Fairfield in the regular-season finale. Brian Fisher’s program reached six wins for the first time since 2021, fueled largely by a career season from All-CAA First Team selection Ty Caffarelli. The attacker paced the program with 37 goals, breaking Monmouth’s single-season scoring record on the final day of the campaign.
Drexel and Stony Brook face off for the second time in less than three weeks. The Dragons took the regular-season matchup 17-13 on April 18.

Drexel opened the season with three straight wins, including an 11-1 victory on opening day, and carried that momentum into conference play with a 5-1 record. All-CAA First Team attacker Witt Crawford led the charge with a career-high 34 goals alongside 17 assists (one short of his personal best), while Alec Tulio added 32 goals. In goal, Brendan Donnelly limits foe to just over 10 goals per game with a .520 save percentage.

Stony Brook enters the tournament for the first time in two seasons after compiling a 4-2 record in CAA play. CAA Co-Rookie of the Year Kyan East has been a key piece on a defense allowing 11.38 goals per game. On the attack, the Seawolves pour in the second-most goals per game in the CAA at 13.00. All-CAA Second Team honoree Collin Williamson had his best season for Stony Brook, charting 32 of his team’s 182 goals this campaign.
