RICHMOND, Va. (April 29, 2026) – Fresh off their league-leading seventh CAA Championship, the Charleston women’s golf team draws the ninth seed in the Simpsonville Regional, while individual medalist, UNCW’s Victoria Levy, will head to the Chapel Hill Regional after seeing their names during the NCAA Selection Show on the Golf Channel on Wednesday.
The NCAA Regionals for Charleston and Levy will take place on May 11-13.
The Cougars are the No. 9 seed in the 12-team regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky. Head Coach Jamie Futrell will watch his 55th-ranked squad go up against Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Houston, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Indiana, Xavier, Western Kentucky and Murray State.
After trailing by two strokes entering the third round, the Cougars overcame the deficit to claim a two-stroke victory and secure back-to-back conference titles on the final hole of the event. CofC captured its league-leading seventh CAA Championship with the come-from-behind win at St. James.
UNCW’s Levy will head to the UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C., after becoming the second-straight Seahawk and seventh overall to secure the conference’s individual title with an even 216 for the 2026 CAA Women’s Golf Championship. She joined teammate Hannah Altman (2025), as well as Phu Khine (2019), Lyberty Anderson (2016, ’17), Carmen Perez Narbon (2009) and Ashley Tait (2007) in the team’s history book as medalist honorees.
