CAA Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards – April 6, 2026
Dylan Smith
RICHMOND, Va. – Monmouth’s
Lauren Rismani and Stony Brook’s
Mirabella Altebrando captured Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week recognition, respectively, while Elon’s
Eliza Ritter and the Seawolves’
Hailey Huebner split Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Rismani, Monmouth
Graduate Student | Attacker | Denver, Colo.
Rismani helped guide Monmouth to a 17-12 victory over Campbell after a nine-point effort on Saturday. The graduate attacker notched eight assists and one goal in the win. Her assist total marked just the seventh time in league history a player has rattled off eight or more helpers in a single game. Furthermore, the Denver, Colo., product tied the program single-game record in assists, joining Ali Pollock in 2009 as the only players in Monmouth history with eight dishes in one contest. Rismani broke the Hawks’ single-season assist benchmark on Saturday and sits tied for eighth all-time in CAA history with 46 on the year. Rismani's nine points also matched the league's season-high after tying her own career-best mark with nine points (3 G, 6 A) against Youngstown State on Feb. 22.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Eliza Ritter, Elon
Junior | Defender | Glen Head, N.Y.
Ritter anchored an Elon defense that allowed just 12 goals across two wins this week over VCU and William & Mary. The junior defender caused seven turnovers, with three coming against the Rams and four coming in a CAA win over the Tribe. She also scooped five ground balls this week. Ritter helped Elon hold William & Mary scoreless for over 43 minutes of game time during the 9-4 Phoenix victory. Ritter forced four of Elon's 17 caused turnovers against the Tribe. The Glen Head, N.Y., native helped orchestrate a defensive effort that limited the Tribe to just 11 shot attempts, the fewest Elon has allowed against any opponent since 2019 and the least surrendered against a CAA opponent since 2017. Ritter and Elon's defense also conceded just four goals against the Tribe, the fewest allowed in a game by the Phoenix since 2019.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Hailey Huebner, Stony Brook
Sophomore | Defender | Bethesda, Md.
Huebner continued to put her defensive dominance on display after totaling eight caused turnovers and scooping up six ground balls in a 2-0 week. The sophomore defender was instrumental in the Seawolves’ third win over a ranked opponent this season, registering four caused turnovers and four ground balls on the road in a 10-8 victory over No. 20 Princeton. She followed up with another stellar effort that featured four caused turnovers and helped SBU hold Towson to just seven goals in Friday’s triumph.
Rookie of the Week
Mirabella Altebrando, Stony Brook
Freshman | Attacker | Miller Place, N.Y.
Altebrando tallied seven points, including five assists, in a 2-0 week for Stony Brook that featured the Seawolves' third win over a team ranked in the top 25. In the team’s 10-8 triumph on the road at No. 20 Princeton, the Miller Place, N.Y., product finished with three points, scoring once and adding two helpers. The freshman attacker followed that up with three assists and a goal in a 19-7 win over Towson. The rookie has registered multiple points in 11 of Stony Brook's 13 games this season.
