INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 2, 2026) – For the second consecutive season, seven individuals alongside two relay teams earned a spot in the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships following strong performances at the NCAA East Regional Preliminaries.
North Carolina A&T will have the most representatives in Oregon for yet another season, with two women and four men alongside a pair of relay teams qualifying for the National Championship. Monmouth also had a qualifier from the weekend’s action.
Olivia Dowd and Spirit Morgan were the lone female CAA student-athletes to punch their tickets to Eugene. A year after becoming the first female Aggie to qualify for NCAA nationals in the triple jump, Dowd heads back to Oregon after a personal- best 13.32m leap in the event. Morgan’s 1.82m mark in the high jump was good for second in the region and also claimed her a spot on the plane.
A&T had a historic day on the men’s side with Isaiah Taylor having one of the most dominant performances of the meet. With a time of 48.71 seconds in the 400m hurdles, the sprinter had the fastest mark across both East and West competitions on Friday and shattered the program record. His brother, Xzaviah, won the first heat of the same event with a 48.82 finish to help him qualify for Eugene.
Jumper Xavier Partee cemented his status as one of the best triple jumpers in the nation with a program-record 16.26m leap in the regional meet. Partee is headed to Eugene for the second consecutive season after earning All-American honors in the same event a year ago.
For the first time in two years, Jason Holmes will also represent A&T in the 110m hurdles after a 13.40 finish in the first round. The Aggies also qualified in the men’s 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay.
Monmouth’s Evan Niedrowski is the lone non-Aggie to qualify for Eugene. The CAA’s leader and champion in the javelin threw a 66.18m mark to earn a top-12 spot in the regional meet.
