Stats Perform Preseason All-America Team Includes 11 From CAA Football

Widespread Talent Fills 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team | Opta Analyst

RICHMOND, Va. (July 13, 2026) – CAA Football had 11 players honored on the 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America team that was announced on Monday.

Leading the list was Rhode Island senior wide receiver Marquis Buchanan, who received first-team All-America accolades.

Earning second-team honors were Elon junior linebacker Brodie Carroll, Rhode Island junior linebacker Rohan Davy, Monmouth junior safety Jaeden Jones, Elon junior kicker Luke Barnes and North Carolina A&T senior punt returner Elijah Kennedy.

Named as third-team All-Americans were Rhode Island senior offensive lineman Tre Alexander, Maine junior offensive lineman Anthony Iliano, Rhode Island senior defensive lineman Case Mankins, Stony Brook senior linebacker Anthony Ferrelli and Bryant senior kick returner Keylijah Williams.

Buchanan was a consensus first-team All-American in 2025 after making 78 receptions for an FCS-best 1,337 yards and eight touchdowns. He tallied 100 or more receiving yards seven times last season and scored a TD in seven games.

Carroll tallied a team-best 104 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles to earn a second-team All-CAA spot in 2025. Davy was a second-team All-CAA pick after making 101 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks last season. Jones was a first-team All-CAA selection after ranking third in the league with 118 tackles and adding 5.0 tackles for loss, an interception and three pass breakups. Barnes connected on 15-of-18 field goals and was a perfect 40-for-40 on extra points to make the All-CAA third team. Kennedy received second-team All-America honors in 2025 after ranking second nationally in punt return average (16.3 ypg) with two TD’s while also averaging 19.6 yards on kickoffs.

Alexander blocked for a URI offense that averaged 31.3 points and 429.9 yards per game in 2025 to earn a spot on the All-CAA second team. Iliano was a second-team All-CAA pick in 2025 after blocking for a Maine offense that averaged 355 yards per game while allowing only 18 sacks. Mankins contributed 55 tackles, 4.0 sacks, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles in 2025 to make the All-CAA third team. Ferrelli earned second-team All-CAA honors after tallying a team-best 109 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, an interception and a forced fumble. Williams ranked 21st nationally in kick return average (24.9 ypr) with a touchdown last season to make the All-CAA second team.
