Eliza Teplow picked up her second straight CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Stony Brook’s Emily Lemke and Elon’s
Hannah Carlson notched Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week recognition, respectively, on Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Emily Lemke, Stony Brook
Sophomore | Midfielder | Nordenham, Germany
Lemke registered a pair of goals in Stony Brook's 2-1 victory on the road at Harvard. The sophomore midfielder opened the scoring by firing away from the penalty stripe after being taken down in the box in the 17th minute. Just over four minutes later, the German product struck again with an acrobatic finish in mid-air to provide all the scoring Stony Brook needed in a win over the Crimson. Lemke paces the CAA through the first two weeks with four goals and eight points.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eliza Teplow, Northeastern
Senior | Goalkeeper | Wellesley, Mass.
Teplow posted back-to-back shutouts for the Huskies, tallying 10 saves over two games. The Wellesley, Mass., native has not allowed a goal this season and is riding a 485-minute shutout streak dating back to last year. The senior stuffed three attempts on target in a tough 0-0 draw against Rhode Island. The Huskies’ keeper followed up with a seven-save effort against Providence. Teplow is one of three goalies nationally to record four clean sheets entering the third week of action, joined by Long Beach State’s Aurora Schuck and Saint Mary’s Soraya Souvanaphong. However, Teplow has compiled more saves (23) in her four shutouts than Schuck (11) and Souvanaphong (8) combined. Northeastern recorded four straight clean sheets for the first time since 2023.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Hannah Carlson, Elon
Freshman | Defender | Highlands Ranch, Colo.
Carlson made her college debut on Thursday night against South Carolina State, starting and scoring a game-high three points in 48 minutes of action. Carlson assisted on Elon's first goal in a 6-0 victory over the Bulldogs, setting up Isa Murdock in the 14th minute. Before the end of the first half, Carlson headed in her first career goal off a corner kick feed from Talia Feigin in the 39th minute to stretch Elon's lead to 3-0. All three of Elon's freshmen have scored in their college debuts this season, seeing Nicole Kleyner score against VCU on Aug. 13 before Carlson and Emerson Rogers both finding twine in their Elon debuts against South Carolina State.
