Sacred Heart makes its debut as a CAA Football member on Saturday with a visit to league member Monmouth. The Pioneers, who were the only CAA team not to play in Week 0, posted an 8-4 record as an independent in 2025 with all four setbacks to teams that made the FCS playoffs.

Eight of the CAA's 11 non-conference games this week are on the road against FBS opponents. Four of the games are televised as UNH faces Syracuse on the ACC Network and Hampton meets Maryland on the Big Ten Network, while CBS Sports Network features Bryant at Army followed by Towson at Navy. Also taking on FBS foes are Rhode Island (Temple), Maine (Applalachian State), UAlbany (Buffalo) and North Carolina A&T (Georgia State).Two of the three non-conference games against FCS opponents are home openers as Stony Brook welcomes Lindenwood and Campbell hosts #24 Western Carolina. Elon makes a short trip to Davidson.
