CAA SPRING FOOTBALL UNDERWAY; CAASPORTS.COM TO COVER SPRING SEASON
RICHMOND, Va. (March 25, 2008) -- A number of CAA Football squads have already kicked off their spring practice seasons, while several more will begin this weekend and later into the month of March and early April. All 12 CAA programs will be into their spring seasons by April 8, and some will have wrapped up practice with annual spring games beginning April 5.
Northeastern and defending conference champion Richmond are slated to hold the first CAA Football spring contests April 5, while William and Mary’s annual spring game is scheduled for April 12. A week after the Tribe’s contest Delaware, James Madison and Hofstra will kickoff their offseason contest April 19. Villanova will wrap up its spring practice sessions April 20, while Rhode Island and Maine will hold spring games April 26 and 28, respectively. The remaining three schools, defending champion Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Towson will all wrap up the offseason with spring games May 3.
