CAASPORTS.COM TO COVER 2009 SPRING CAA FOOTBALL; FOLLOW THE LEAGUE ON TWITTER
RICHMOND, Va. (March 17, 2009) -- 2009 Spring Football is upon us as three CAA Football squads have already kicked off spring drills, and three more will begin workouts this week. The remaining six programs are slated to begin spring seasons later into the months of March and early April. Fans and members of the media can now follow CAA Football on Twitter:

2008 NCAA Division I National Champion Richmond is slated to hold the first CAA Football spring contests April 4, while Northeastern will wrap up its 2009 spring practices on the same day. Villanova’s final spring practice session will take place April 5, two weeks before William and Mary ends its spring sessions with a game April 18. Four league squads will host spring games the weekend of April 24-25 including Delaware, Hofstra, defending CAA Football Champion James Madison, Rhode Island and Towson. Maine and Massachusetts will play 2009 Spring games May 2, and New Hampshire will wrap up the spring with offseason contest May 9.
